Made by John Taylor & Sons- Cabinet makers and Upholsterers to Her Majesty the Queen. Well known for the top quality of materials and craftsmanship used in every piece. Items from their shop are renown the world over for their expert construction and adornment. This 2 piece cabinet was made in the early 20th century and has a recessed top hutch with gorgeous accents throughout! It has heavily inlaid back and insets with tiger grain (quarter sawn) cladding, carved urn hutch supports. Panel cabinet doors have carved interior panels. Featuring 3 lockable cabinets (one with 2 interior drawers) and 2 drawers with dovetail corners. Flat head screw construction throughout. Bottom measures 42.5"T x 72"W x 27"D, top measures 33"T x 68.5"w x 17.75"D. In good condition for age. No key- one cabinet door is locked. Shows some repair and servicing- left drawer is repaired. It has some age gapping inside cabinet and top crown has movement on its pegs (only an issue while moving). BP
