Custom made John Lobb- black box calf riding boots with wooden shoe stretchers, approx. a size 13. They were ordered 11/04/1975 – medium weight with Long boot trees, leather soles and a 16.5" calf cuff. Crafted in the country that developed the formal hunt, dressage and polo, English boots are acknowledged to be the finest in terms of both craftsmanship and materials, and this company is the one of the finest makers of English Riding Boots since 1849- Bootmaker - to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II- and By Appointment His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh (marked inside boot). The boots are serialized and are on file with the maker along with the shoe tree, which are also numbered and signed "LOBB" likely signed by the owner/maker Eric Lobb. Boots shoe age and show light wear, one stretcher is missing top ring. BP
