#20 • 2 pcs Cleater & Billie Meaders Syrup Jugs

Part of Clayton Winter Pottery Auction (timed auction by K and B Auction)

High bid $62.00

Status: Sold

Both jugs are 5.5"T and have single handles and green tobacco spit glaze. Front of one is incised: '1892 - 1999 No. 1'. Bottom is signed 'Cleater and Billie Meaders Dec. 31, 1999'. This one has a piece of (what looks like) a wax candle loose on the inside. The other jug is incised on front: '1892-2000' and is signed on bottom: ' Cleater and Billie Meaders 1-1-2000 No. I' (Roman numeral 1). Bottom has a small scuff otherwise both are in excellent condition. f
