Caldwell Sweet and Brother was a druggist in Bangor, Maine and used this name from 1877 until 1906. This nice salt glaze applied handle 2 gallon beehive jug is marked "C. Sweet & Bro Bangor Maine 2" in cobalt. There is a crack that runs about 2/3 of the way around the base, the glaze is worn on the spout and top of the handle and there is a spot of brick red paint on the back. it is still nice addition to a collection. it measures 12.25"H x 10" in diameter at the base.
