Thanks to our local Facebook "friends" who helped provide the history of this piece! Ralph Angel was a 7th grade school teacher and principle here in Rabun County. Ralph Angel was a beloved local teacher and assistant principal.  Ralph and his wife Mary opened "The Hypotenuse" next to the Mountain City Post Office. There he did his pottery and taught classes on pottery making. This beautiful vase is one of his pieces.  This is a stunning green glazed footed vase. Done in the style of a Bejing Pot / Ginger Jar, the footed vase has a prominent top with a 4¼" diameter. About 10" at it's widest, with a 6¼" footed diameter. There are a few spots that mis-glazed, including one on the foot, but there are no chips. Ink stamped bottom with "The Hypotenuse" Ralph & Mary  Mountain City, GA" along with an Angel Figure.  This is a wonderful piece of local history but can be enjoyed by all, local or not! jrb/KS
