Part of Yellow Cabin Fever Winter Mega Auction (timed auction by K and B Auction)
High bid $132.00
Status: Sold
James Hanley Company (1934 - 1957) of Providence, Rhode Island. Hanley's Peerless Porter Case of 24 bottles circa 1940. This case was "exported" to Pennsylvania. Hanley's Porter normally has a Bull Dog crown cork. These are topped with Penna Malt Beverage Tax Crowns. Around the crown on the crimped edge reads Pennsylvania Malt Beverage Tax Paid One Pint Or Less. All labels have some form of wear. some better than others. A few bottle missing one or both labels. All I can say is not something you will likely see again. They are in the original company crate. Graphics on the long sides of the crate are very worn and hard to read, graphics at the short end are legible. These are being sold as collectable items only. This item can NOT be shipped and is for local pickup only. jrb/KS
