Elegantly designed 40mm x 30mm shell cameo, of a Grecian or Roman woman, in an elegant mount with braiding and looped wire marked "14K". It can be either a broach or a pendant. There is a pin on the back as well as a hinged loop that can extend when using the cameo as a pendant or tuck out of site when using as a pin. Consignor states it was her Mother-In-Law's from the 1920's or 1930's. The thick rope chain is marked "1/20 - 12k" on the clasp signifying a heavy 12K gold plate. Cameo broach weighs 10 grams and the gold plate chain weighs 25 grams. Items marked with gold karat are not tested and gold content/purity not guaranteed unless otherwise stated in the listing. KS
