Complete Set of 12 Series I Great American Story Knives by Boker Tree Brand Knives. The series began in 1974 and continued through 1976 and were made for Boker by J. Wiss & Sons. Each one is in the original box, in the original plastic pouch and also with 3 of the original store counter top displays that initially contained 6 each of one of the knives. The displays has a cut-out lid that folded up when the lid was raised and tucked into the back of the box and there is a little wear and small tears at that area of each. Some of the knives appear to have never been removed from the plastic. Individual knife boxes are red, white and blue and show the subject matter of that knife on the lid. The knives have bone handles with brass liners and nickel silver bolsters. Following is a list of each knife included with the date, number, subject, handle emblem, blade legend, knife style and number of blades: May 1974, 1770, Thirteen Colonies, Pilgrim/Map, "Sweet Land of Liberty" Large Stock, 3-blade; July 1974, 1771, July 4, 1976, American Eagle, "One Out of Many", Large Stock, 3-blade; Sept 1974, 1772, The Alamo, Alamo Mission, "Manifest Destiny", Texas Jack, 2-blade; Dec 1974, 1773, Prairie Schooner, Conestoga Wagon, "Westward Ho!", Large Equal End Jack, 2-blade; Feb 1975, 1774, Liberty, Statue of Liberty Head w/Motto, "The Melting Pot", Large Stock, 3-blade; April 1975, 1775, Johnny Reb, Confederate Soldier, "Dixie", Large Congress, 4-blade; July 1975, 1776, The Golden Spike, Head-On Locomotives, "On to the last frontier", Large Stock, 3-blade; Sept 1975, 1777, Buffalo Bill & Sitting Bull, Cowboy & Indian, "Old Wild West", Large Trapper, 2-blade; Nov 1975, 1778, Remember the Maine, Sinking Battleship, "Rise to Words Power", Large Swell End Jack, 3-blade; Feb 1976, 1779, Lafayette Escadrille, Bi-Planes Fighting, "War to End All Wars", Large Serpentine Jack, 2-blade; April 1976, 1780, Alamagordo, Atom, "Dawn of the Atomic Age", Large Stock, 3-blade; July 4, 1976, 1781, July 4, 1976, American Flag, "200 Years of Freedom", Large Stock, 3-blade.
