this appears to date to the mid-1800's and is typical of paintings from that period.  Full Length portrait - Little girl in a blue dress. Girl is wearing a coral necklace, and she's holding a a small bouquet of roses (2 buds, 1 open) Unsigned painting. The back has been relined, and a couple small repairs made over time is the thought, or it appears to look repaired upon very close inspection. Craquelure throughout painting, and a couple areas top/bottom need touch up as small flakes are missing. This is possibly from remounting the artwork. A previous nail hole can be seen from an earlier framing. One has to very closely inspect painting to see the top and bottom missing paints. Framed in an extra large gild period style wooden frame approx 38"H x 33"W - Frame shows age and paint wear. Painting comes from a high end store whom specializes in Early Americana: Linda Rosen Antiques, Berkshires, Mass. ~Az /KS
