#105 • Stunning Antique Ladys Writing Desk w/Orig Velvet

Part of Blue Gallery Consignment Auction (timed auction by K and B Auction)

High bid $155.00

Status: Sold

Beautiful Antique! Cottage painted lady's writing desk reminiscent of Tole Ware paintings with birds and florals. Black desk with 2 doors that open to reveal a large storage area on top with 4 dovetailed drawers. Each drawer has a felt liner with a lace style trim. The desk has a pull out writing tray that has original soft Royal Blue velvet still on it! Though worn from age in places, enough remains to make this desk quite stunning! Large drawer below for storage. The top features a gallery which is a bit loose. Queen Anne legs, and noted that there's a small crack on the writing tray in front of the velvet area. You can tell this is an older item! The surface has craquelure in it. Which resembles olde leather when it age. Dimensions are 49"H x 26"W x 16"D. Really stunning desk in antique condition. ~Az
