#56 • Locally Hand Made Mixed Wood Soprano Ukelele

Part of Gray Gallery Mid Century Mania Auction (timed auction by K and B Auction)

High bid $56.00

Status: Sold

Absolutely beautiful soprano ukulele made by Howard Moore, Jr., a wood working instructor at the John C Campbell school and maker of mountain dulcimers and ukeleles. It has mahogany neck and top, cherry sides and back and mother of pearl inlay around the opening. The school name is at the top and it comes with a stand and embroidered carrying case. Also included is the story behind the making of this instrument for an auction benefiting the school. There is a small split on the front beneath the bridge, otherwise it is in excellent condition. KS
