Part of B&B Mercantile Business Liquidation (timed auction by K and B Auction)

High bid $9.00

Status: Sold

Both are river cane baskets. The lidded round basket has a band of walnut dye and a scalloped or fluted shape. The lid has a round handle and an area of unraveling on the edge. It is attributed as Cherokee and does resemble some Cherokee works but is not signed or authenticated. It measures 3.5"H x 4" in diameter. The other is a very tightly woven cane basket with quality work and wonderful weaving at the base. Uncertain of the origin of this basket. It is in good condition and measures 4.25"H x 5.5" in diameter. KS
