High bid $21.00

Status: Sold

Nice circular lithographed tin wind up toy which has a train - engine and 3 cars - three tunnels, a depot and flagman along with country scenes, a castle scene and some humorous scenes. This is an early version of this toy. Later versions had different graphics and the tunnels were different. Along the side it reads "Honeymoon Express" and "Louis Marx & Co. NY U.S.A" Winds up and works at time of listing, although the train needs a gentle push occasionally. It has some wear and surface rust but makes a great display piece. Measures 2.5"H x 9.5" in diameter. KS
