#61 • 1950s Ice Fishing Sled - Crate Style

Part of White Gallery - Vintage & Collectible Toys - Part 1 (timed auction by K and B Auction)

High bid $19.00

Status: Sold

13.5x21x12.5" homemade sled from Chapman's Beverages crate dated 7-52. Painted green with simple wooden runners, old pull rope still attached. Lid lifts to store your supplies, crate doubles as a seat. Perfect size to sit the kid on while dragging them across the ice out to the fishing shanty. (Ask me how I know). Probably came from Michigan as Chapman's was located in Saginaw. Fantastic rustic/cabin decoration - certainly not something we see often in these parts! Good used condition. cf
