This is a really unique lot of an antique shadow box of hand-painted wax figurines dedicated to Ditto, an British thoroughbred racehorse that won The Derby Stakes (Investec Derby in Surrey) in 1803. The shadowbox shows a jockey on Ditto on the track in front of a dog, with a stone marker with "The Derby Winner 1803 - Ditto". Framed in a dark tone wooden frame. Information about the piece is attached to frame. Measures approximately - 13.75" x 11.75". Item shows appropriate wear due to age, veneer on frame showing some damage. AA.
