This is a great antique reproduction of the Henry Mosler painting entitled "The Lost Cause". The painting is framed in an antique gold tone wooden frame, the painting is a late 1800s - early 1900s reproduction of the1868 Mosler painting of a Confederate soldier coming back to his homestead by a painter Morrison painted in 1871. The painting is not an exact reproduction. It is faded from age, the canvas has had some previous repair & there is damage to the canvas at upper left sky area and a tear on the soldier. There is attached some information about the original painting. Measures approximately - 29.5" x 25.5". Item shows appropriate wear due to age & use. AA.
