#42 • Wooden Lighted 16" Manger with 13 Nativity Figures

Part of Green Gallery - Things for Nearly Every Holiday (timed auction by K and B Auction)

High bid $52.00

Status: Sold

Vintage Christmas Nativity set that has a hand crafted light socket/hole for the manger. There's 13 large figures approx 3" Lamb to a Wiseman about 13"H that are made much like the Fontanini sets. They have a wood appearance, yet made from a special resin plastic. Hand painted, made in Japan. Manger is about 16.5"H x 20.5"W x 9.5"D - Vintage "snow" felt blankets included. The light powered on at listing, gives a soft amber glow. The moss on top of the manger has given away to time. The real wood branch is still strong. The ox has a bit of missing paint on one horn. The others look to be in good shape, a nick or so possible if one is searching. Overall a good colorful vintage set with the look of the Italian ones. ~Az
