Ithaca Star Series NID (New Ithaca Double) 12-gauge side by side shotgun with serial number 455,362 was manufactured in 1929. Historical Range for 1929: Ithaca serial numbers 454,600 to 457,299 were produced during this calendar year.. Important Safety & Maintenance Note: Older 12-gauge side-by-side (SBS) shotguns from the 1920s feature shorter chambers (typically 2 5/8" or 2 9/16" and are designed for low-pressure lead shot loads. Modern 2¾" or 3" high-velocity steel or bismuth shells can generate unsafe pressure levels and damage the historic Damascus or fluid steel barrels. 28" barrels in very good condition with excellent bore. Marked F 12 on the water table (Field Grade). The overall condition of the gun is very good, showing few signs of use and handling. The bore is excellent, showing very few signs of use and handling. The gun has a rubber recoil pad, a manual safety, dual triggers, bead sights, blued finish and choke and chamber depth are not marked.
