Part of Tan Gallery - Great Estate Items, Coins, Firearms (timed auction by K and B Auction)

High bid $33.00

Status: Sold

1865 United States three-cent nickel coin, featuring the Liberty Head obverse and a reverse with a laurel wreath encircling the Roman numeral III. Struck in nickel, this coin is in estimated Good (G) condition, displaying moderate to heavy circulation wear but with major design elements still visible. This issue is notable as an early example from the first year of the three-cent nickel series. Edge reeding and finer details show signs of use consistent with its grade. This example reflects a tangible piece of post-Civil War era US coinage.
