High bid $28.00

Status: Sold

This is a United States Barber Half Dollar dated 1893, minted in New Orleans as indicated by the 'O' mint mark on the reverse. The coin is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, with a diameter of 30.6 mm and a weight of approximately 12.5 grams. The obverse features the Liberty Head design by Charles E. Barber, though heavy circulation wear is visible, resulting in loss of detail. The reverse shows the heraldic eagle with the denomination. Based on its condition, this coin appears well-worn with significant surface wear, typical of low-grade circulated examples. This issue is considered scarcer among Barber Half Dollars, especially in higher grades.
