Part of Green Gallery - Meaders Pottery, Great Estate Items, Fly Fishing Gear & More!! (timed auction by K and B Auction)

High bid $3.00

Status: Available

Wood and metal steamer trunk, featuring iron hardware and banding. The trunk displays significant wear to the outer finish, consistent with considerable age and use, and retains original metal handles and a heavy latch with keyhole at the front. The interior remains largely unlined, showing the raw wood construction. Hinges and interior lid stay appear original. The trunk would have once been used for traveler storage in the late 19th or early 20th century. No maker mark is visible, and condition issues include rust on hardware, loss of surface paint, and worn interior. 30" long x 19" deep x 21" tall. jrb.
