Presented is a green pressed glass covered dish in the form of a hen on a nest. The set features detailed feather textures and a beaded rim, with the lid shaping the hen's body and the dish forming the nest. This style of molded glass hen dish is commonly associated with American glassmakers from the late 19th to mid-20th centuries. The color and construction indicate a collectible decorative piece, popular for both display and functional use in kitchens and dining rooms. No visible maker's mark is observed on the base. Appears to be newer versions, no markings. 5½" tall x 7" long. jrb.
